Shark Rig Short Deployments
Designed for shorter deployments - less than 200 yards off the beach, with a smaller hook (10/0-13/0) for smaller baits when targeting sharks less than 8 feet long. This set up is much easier to manage than the traditional long piece of heavy mono/short wire rigs, it has less connections and is therefore stronger and less likely to fail and the long piece of wire gives you something indestructible to grab when trying to control the shark in the surf while landing it.
10 feet of 600lb coated 49 strand wire.
10/0 Vanadium steel offset or 13/0 straight circle.
Sinker slide with stop so the weight isn’t on the bait.
